The annual village festival in Kirchhellen recently offered a platform for the innovative project "Great. Climate. Ruhr metropolis", which turned to the citizens of the region. This inter-municipal project, funded by the Ministry of Home, Local, Construction and Digitization of the State of North Rhine-Westphalia, aims to transform Bottrop into a climate-neutral city by 2029.
