Open table in Bottrop: Your donation secures warm meals!

In Bottrop, there is a valuable Initiative every week that integrates people in the community and offers them a warm meal. The "open table", which is held in the rooms of the heart of Jesus Church, has developed into a central point of contact for around 60 guests per meeting. Here these people can not only enjoy a free meal, but also make contacts and exchange ideas.

The offer is particularly important because it not only ensures physical care with food, but also offers a space for social interaction. The "Open Table" takes place every Tuesday and Thursday between 12 and 2 p.m. in Bottrop. But to ensure the continuity of this offer, the organizers are urgently dependent on donations. From October, the need for financial support will become increasingly pressing, since the running costs can no longer be covered solely by existing funds.

The Catholic parish of St. Cyriakus plays a crucial role by providing the Church's premises without rental costs. This also includes the necessary cleaning performance. Despite this valuable support, the organizers are faced with the challenge of financing the monthly expenses.

From January, the catering is ensured by the "Kolüsch" campaign of the Evangelical Social Consulting, which offers daily warm meals for the needy in winter. This is a welcome development because this increases the supply structure even more. Nevertheless, the request for donations remains a central concern in order to secure the necessary funds at short notice and maintain the operation for as long as possible.
