Terrible accident on the A2: motorway closed in Oberhausen!

A serious accident on the A2 in the Ruhr area occurred on Sunday morning, October 6th, when a car collided with a construction machine for reasons that have so far been unexplained. The incident happened in the construction site area between the Bottrop triangle and Oberhausen-Königshardt. As a result, the motorway was completely closed in the direction of Oberhausen, while the fire brigade secured the accident site in terms of safety. The ADAC recommended that the U58 be used instead.

Two people were involved in the accident. The fire brigade used hydraulic rescue devices to free a trapped person, while the second person could be saved without technical aids. Both were then taken to the hospital. The forces of the professional fire brigade and the Bottrop volunteer fire brigade and rescue workers from the DRK were involved in the deployment. In such cases, the fire brigade works according to special processes to get to the scene of the accident as quickly as possible, even if traffic jams can make access difficult.
