School yard expansion in Bottrop: Container solution for Nikolaus-Groß School!

The city of Bottrop reacts to the acute lack of space at the Nikolaus-Groß School in Batenbrock with the drawing up of a container and expanding the schoolyard during the autumn holidays. In view of the increasing number of students, this measure is inevitable to relieve the shortage of space. However, the new container solution will lose part of the existing school hop.

To compensate for this loss, an area on the corner of Förenkamp/in the flaßviertel is added to the play area of the school property. The area is fenced and trees are removed, while the trees remain untouched, as the city reports. This is intended to provide the students more space for playing and learning.
