On Saturday, October 26th, a tragic plane crash in Kamen occurred, in which a 70-year-old pilot from Waltrop died. The scene of the accident was the sky - just a few minutes after the start, the glider crashed around 4 p.m., as the Waltroper Zeitung reports. Despite immediate resuscitation attempts by the first aiders, they could no longer help the pilot. Whether he died of the injuries or suffered a medical emergency is the subject of ongoing investigations.

The police found that the plane was distracted to the right shortly after the start and landed in a field. The case raises questions, in particular under the impression of a similar incident, in which a wearing screwdriver crashed at the Loemühle airfield in Marl in May.
