Tragedy in Bottrop: Fire brigade discovers dead woman after fire

This morning hour was made in Bottrop a tragic discovery: firefighters found a lifeless woman in her burning apartment. The emergency doctor could only determine the death of the woman after the fire had already gone out. According to the fire brigade, the fire broke out in the kitchen, but the dangerous fire residues had already spread throughout the apartment.

The alarmed emergency services were on site with around 35 firefighters after a scaled roller shutter was reported on the first floor. In order to free the apartment from the toxic smoke, it was thoroughly ventilated, but for the woman who was discovered in the living room, all help came too late.
