In the city of Bottrop, a new initiative will be launched from September to help grieving children and their families. In cooperation with the Sternzelt e.V.

The loss of a loved one can trigger deep grief, fear and despair. Specialized specialists and volunteers are available to help the affected children in this difficult time. Together with the families, they accompany the children through their individual mourning process. In the group, the children can express their feelings through conversations, music, films and creative activities and find support and understanding.

The purpose of this initiative is to help process and find the loss and find a way to deal with their pain. The mourning group offers a protected space in which the children receive orientation and support in dealing with their grief.
