Refurbishment of the L127: Full closure between Eschbach and St. Peter in August
Article - Improvements at the Freiburg Regional Council
The Freiburg regional council (RP) recently announced a temporary road closure, which should ensure the improvement of traffic connections in the region. The state road between the Stegen district of Eschbach and St. Peter (L 127) will be closed to renovation work for two weeks between August 19 and early September. This measure, which is expected to be completed on September 6th, affects local traffic and public transport. Traffic is diverted via alternative routes during the blocking, while public transport from St. Peter is temporarily stopped. It is particularly interesting that the RP takes the opportunity to make barrier -free improvements at the bus stops "Obertal", "Eschbachstraße" and "Schmiede" in Eschbach.
However, the temporary blocking is not only used for road renovation. Due to the renovation work at the stops, the road will only be driven on a lane in the week before and after the full closure. The traffic is guided past the construction sites by traffic light, which can lead to certain delays. In addition, the junction to the Scherlenzdobel is blocked in the first week of the work. It is only in the second week that drivers can start the Scherlenzdobel again from Stegen.
These planned measures show the commitment of the Freiburg regional council to improve local infrastructure and accessibility. The temporary inconvenience is expected to have long -term positive effects on the region and improve the quality of life of the citizens. It is to be hoped that the planned work will run smoothly and that the Freiburg region will benefit from the planned improvements.
