Illegal old oil disposal in Bremerhaven: Police are looking for witnesses!

The police in Bremerhaven investigate after a brazen environmental offense! Unknowns have illegally disposed of three 5-liter canister with old oil on a sidewalk between a supermarket and a petrol station on Stresemannstrasse/Spadener Strasse. A passerby discovered a large oil pollution in the Lehe district of Lehe on Tuesday morning, September 24th, and immediately alerted the police.

The emergency services found that two canisters were left full of waste oil, while another container had apparently already been emptied and was in the bushes. The black liquid not only contaminated the sidewalk, but also the surrounding bushes, a tree and the soil. A specialist company was commissioned for cleaning. The police asks the population to provide information on the clarification of this environmentally hazardous incident.
