Rapid chase in Bremerhaven: Fleing driver caught!

On Thursday afternoon, October 10th, a chaotic chase race in the Lehe district of Bremerhaven caused excitement. A gray Renault noticed the police around 12:50 p.m. when the officers observed a traffic violations of the driver during a patrol trip. Instead of stopping, the driver raced away at an excessive speed, ignored stops, broke red traffic lights and even drove against the one -way street. He endangered pedestrians and collided with another vehicle at the intersection of Hafenstraße/Rickmersstraße. Despite the accident, the fleeting continued his rapid ride in the south.

Thanks to an immediately initiated search, the police were able to find the vehicle in Eupener Strasse a little later, but the occupants had fled on foot. After further investigations, it turned out that they had called a taxi to get to their place of residence. There are now extensive investigations against the driver for multiple road traffic offenses, driving without a driver's license and unauthorized removal from the scene of the accident. The campaign shows again how risky and ruthless some road users are on the road.
