New citizens' information in Vahr: Help for new and seniors!
A new citizen information in the Vahr city library offers support for new citizens and seniors in the Bremen district community. The project, which has existed for almost a year, was launched to provide help from authorities, doctors and landlords. 360 consultations have already been carried out in the past six months.
The topics of the consultations include daycare places, appointment agreements as well as applications for the citizen benefit and the job center. Health certificates are particularly problematic because special payment methods are required. The project is currently being financed through funding for one year, while the personnel costs are covered by the light limit. New opening times will also come from June 1, 2025: Monday to Friday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Expansion of services
For the upcoming consultations, three additional employees are trained in order to better meet the needs of those seeking advice. The advisory board is asked to check financing options, especially with regard to the asylum, migration and integration fund (AMIF) of the EU. The contact for appointment agreements can be made via consultancy@bzvahr.de.
The advisory offer is aimed not only at individuals, but also to families and includes support in application procedures, including migration matters. The aim is to make the application process smoothly. Current information on local topics, events and offers in Bremen and Bremen Vahr are also provided.
The team of the citizens' information is known to the legal framework and offers extensive support to meet individual needs. The services include help in preparing and submitting applications as well as information about the responsible authorities. Personal support ensures that those seeking advice will receive the necessary support.
