On Thursday, September 26, 2024, a 29-year-old man from Bremen was stopped by the police on Autobahn 1, while he was traveling with an unexpected and uninsured van. The driver, who did not have a valid driver's license, showed the officials a photo of his driver's license on his smartphone. But the appearance was not sufficient: it was exhibited for class B vehicles, but the small van had a weight of over 3.5 tons and was also not to drive for him because it can only drive with automatic vehicles.

A data comparison revealed further problems: the man also had a driving ban, which made his journey illegal. The motorway police found the violation and thus prevented the continuation of its risky journey.
