Calw loses obstetrics: hospital closes obstetrical department!

In the Calwer hospital, no births will take place from the end of 2024. Obstetrics moves to Herrenberg, where it merged with the department there. This decision brings with it a significant change for expectant parents in the Calw district, because there will be no births there for a whole year - neither in the Calw hospital nor in Nagold.

District Administrator Helmut Riegger and the managing director of the Southwest Clinic Association, Alexander Schmidtke, confirmed the plans on Wednesday.
