Serious accident on B463: Two drivers caught, banned federal road!

Calw, Deutschland - On Tuesday morning, a serious traffic accident occurred on the federal road B 463 between Calw-Ernstmühl and Bad Liebenzell. At around 8:30 a.m., a 21-year-old driver of a Mercedes small transporter got on the oncoming lane for an unknown cause and collided frontally with an oncoming bus. Both drivers were caught in the impact in their vehicles. The fire brigade with a total of 54 emergency services from Calw and Bad Liebenzell took around 30 minutes to free the injured and used several hydraulic rescue equipment. The Mercedes driver suffered life-threatening injuries and was taken to the hospital while the bus driver was seriously injured.

Fortunately, the passengers of the bus were only slightly injured and were temporarily looked after in the Bad Liebenzell fire brigade before they were brought to their destinations by replacement buses. An expert was consulted to clarify the course of the accident. Due to the leaked operating materials and hydraulic oil from the van, the roadway and the side banquet of the B463 must be blocked and cleaned, which will take several hours.
