On Sunday, October 20, the Celle fire brigade was called to a basement fire in Hüttenstrasse at 10:39 p.m. When they arrived, two basement rooms of a terraced house were already burning, one of them was in full fire. Fortunately, no people were in danger, but Rauch spread into an adjacent house.

The fire brigade was able to quickly control the fire, but had trouble because it kept flaming. Ultimately, the gas supply had to be parked in order to finally extinguish the fire.
