Football fans attack 17-year-olds in Chemnitz: Police hold suspects!

A shocking incident in the bus towards Olbernhau: A 17-year-old was verbally attacked, insulted and even spat on on Saturday evening by a group of alleged football supporters. The attack occurred on Moritzstrasse in Chemnitz, when a man of the trio made it clear to the young person not to use his laptop. When the 17-year-old ignored, he continued to threaten and finally physically attacked when the bus was in Gornau.

After the incident, the injured party informed the bus driver who alerted the police. When arriving in Marienberg, the emergency services were able to arrest two of the three attackers, 40 and 44 years old and both German citizens. The third, a 15-year-old, has a family connection to the 44-year-old. The trio is investigated for insulting, whereby the 44-year-old is also held responsible for threats, as the Chemnitz police department reported.
