Companies in Chemnitz reach the next round of the Saxon milestone 2024

The Saxon Milk Milk 2024, an important award for successful company successes, attracts attention again. Eight companies from Chemnitz and from the regions of Central and Southwest Saxony have held their own competition and have come into the next round. The Bürgschaftsbank Sachsen (BBS) announced the nominated companies as part of a network event that took place in the Carlowitz Congress Center in Chemnitz.

In total, more than 50 companies have submitted their applications, and now the nominated companies are fighting for the coveted prize in the categories of family internal, company -internal and corporate lyrics. In total, 30 companies were nominated for the Saxon milestone, which are led by 45 successors: inside, including 19 women.

The selection includes some inspiring examples from the region that have successfully mastered the generation change. The following companies are nominated in the category of family succession:

In the third category, the succeeding of the company, these companies were nominated:

    • Goldener Stern Erlebnis GmbH from Oederan (transfers: Ines Bernhardt, Anja Vogel | Heading: Wolfgang Eckardt)

The Saxon milestone has been awarded since 2011 and not only offers a platform for awarding successful succession, but above all also an incentive for other entrepreneurs: inside, take the step to successor. Martin Dulig, the Saxon Minister of State for Economics, Labor and Transport, has the patronage and recognizes the courage of the nominated to take responsibility for their companies and thus actively contribute to the future of the Saxon economy.

An important concern of the BBS is to make people visible behind these companies and to inform about their successful generation change. This measure is particularly relevant, since many small and medium -sized companies are increasingly facing the challenge of finding suitable successors: to find inside. Max Jankowsky, President of the Chemnitz Chamber of Commerce and Industry, emphasizes that not only the economic stability is at stake, but also the prosperity in Saxony is at risk.

on the network event, which serves as a platform for the exchange of ideas and solutions on the subject of corporate succession, Prof. Dr. Bertolt Meyer a keynote about the importance of relationships in corporate takeovers. This shows how important it is to promote continuity and growth within the company through personnel management and commitment.

The nominated companies are now in a next rating round, which is carried out by an independent jury. This jury consists of various experts and will select the successful companies whose trophies are presented on October 1, 2024 in Albrechtberg Castle in Dresden.

In addition to the trophies, the award winners can expect prize money from up to 5,000 euros per category - an incentive that could motivate many entrepreneurs to take their succession planning seriously. The BBS, as a publicly funded special credit institute, considers the Saxon milestone to be an important initiative to secure the economic future of Saxony.

The importance of company succession will continue to grow in the future, since many operating owners are now at an age when they want to hand over their business. Both family and external successor options play a role here. The framework conditions must be right so that a successor can be successfully designed and the quality of the products and services is preserved.

This initiative is not only a competition, but also a wake -up call that the way to successor is promising and necessary - and that Saxony needs makers: inside who want to design the future with determination and foresight.
