Vacation plans burst: woman arrested at the airport because of an arrest warrant

A 34-year-old German wanted to enjoy their vacation in Egypt, but fate had other plans. During the border control at Leipzig Airport, she set her passport for checking - and was promptly arrested. The Anhaltinian had to pay a prison sentence of 27 days for computer fraud after not paying a fine of almost 2,000 euros. Instead of sun and beach, her dream ended in the Chemnitz correctional facility.

The woman had been searched for under an arrest warrant from the Magdeburg public prosecutor because she had not complied with the cargo several times to take a criminal record. Her striving for freedom and vacation ended abruptly when the officials clarified the situation and brought them behind grids. For more information, See the current reporting on www.presseportal.de .
