Federal police intervene: convicted 20-year-old with incorrect ID

Gelsenkirchen, Deutschland - Last night, on October 17th, a 20-year-old Vietnamese citizen was arrested by the federal police in Gelsenkirchen's main train station. During a check, it turned out that he was traveling with a Hungarian residence permit that was incorrectly used. The review also showed that there was an arrest warrant from the Coburg public prosecutor's office, he had already been convicted of unauthorized stays and was advertised by the immigration authority to arrest.

The arrest was carried out after the train attendant of the RE2, who was on the way from Osnabrück to Düsseldorf, asked the federal police for support. At the identity assessment at the train station, the officials found that the man was not the rightful owner of the ID document. After a fingerprint scan, the investigation was confirmed and the man was taken to a correctional facility. Now he has to be responsible for abuse of identification and an unauthorized stay
