Delmenhorst art prize: Young talents conquer the gallery!
In a solemn premiere, the Coburg house gave the first "Art Prize Delmenhorst"! The lucky winners are the creative trio Tomás Maglione, Vanessa Amoah Opoku and Fynn Ribbeck. Each of them can look forward to a prize money of 5,000 euros and will present their works in a joint exhibition in the Delmenhorst municipal gallery, which will be opened in June 2025.
The art prize will be awarded every two years in the future and has a total volume of impressive 50,000 euros. The general practitioner Calin Pirvu and the Von-Heyde-Cordes Foundation contribute 20,000 euros each. The jury, consisting of experts like Jennifer Cher and Matilda Felix, praised the diversity and depth of the work of the winners. Maglione impressed with urban poetry, Opoku with an interdisciplinary approach to migration experiences, while Ribbeck converted historical archive pictures into fantastic stories. Details of the winners and their work are in a current report on www.weser-kurier.de to read.
