With 302 new start-ups, which corresponds to an increase of 35 percent, the software industry has reached a new record, with every fifth start-up being located in this area. This development reflects the increasing influence of digitization and the increased use of artificial intelligence (AI) in the corporate world, as emphasized by the startup association.

An important driver of this trend is the chatbot chatt, which has sparked a real hype by AI. Many entrepreneurs have motivated the possibilities that AI offers in areas such as customer interaction and process optimization to become active in this sector. However, increasing the foundation figures does not only extend to the software industry, but also shows itself in other industries such as online trading, where an increase of 36 percent was recorded.

At the same time, there was stagnation in the sectors of food and medicine, which indicates that the dynamics are mainly in the digitized and technology -driven sectors.
