Huge rank awaits around the Veste Coburg!
On July 7th, the popular running event, the 42nd VR-Bank run "around the Veste Coburg", takes place in Coburg. The preparations of the athletics department of TV 1848 Coburg are in full swing, and the organizers expect a large starting field of almost 1,000 registered runners in the case of good weather conditions.

The Mayor of Coburg Dominik Sauerig will give the starting signal for the 10 km long VR Bank main run at 9 a.m. The favorites for victory are the previous year's winner Sören Otten from the Laufteam Bavaria and the youthful runner Cecil Kümpel from TSV Mönchröden.
youthful talents in focus
A special highlight are the children's and youth runs in which young athletes compete with the age of under 16. This year there is a novelty: separate starts for girls and boys to ensure fair competitions.

Unfortunately, there are three construction sites along the running track this year, which are a challenge. However, the organizers and construction companies are committed to keeping the restrictions on the participants as low as possible. Chief organizer Wolfgang Gieck asks all runners to be particularly careful in the construction site areas.
Interested parties can register until shortly before the start. On Saturday, July 6th, from 2pm to 5pm and on July 7 from 7.30 a.m. to 30 minutes before the start, registrations are possible with the start number edition on the sports grounds of TV 1848 Coburg.- Nag
