In Braunschweig, the TBV Lemgo Lippe once again demonstrated its strength. The handball club was able to defend the title at the 2nd BS Energy Bundesliga Cup confidently on Sunday and prevailed in the final against the second division club VfL Eintracht Hagen with a clear 34:22.

The TBV Lemgo Lippe went to the tournament as a clear favorite and showed outstanding achievements right from the start. Already on Saturday they won 24:19 in the group phase against MTV Braunschweig with 19:16 and the HSC 2000 Coburg. In the final they had to face VfL Eintracht Hagen, who also won two victories in the first rounds.

The TBV started strongly during the final game and set off early. After only ten minutes they already led 8-2. But the team from Hagen did not give up and quickly reduced the gap to just two goals. After a break of coach Florian Kehrmann, the Lipper were able to regain control of the game and go into the half -time break with a guided tour of 14:11.
The second half started, as the first ended: with a 5-0 run, the Lemgoer put clear signs and even expanded the lead to eight goals (24:16). VfL no longer found the game back, which was partly due to the strong parades by Constantin Möstl, who made life difficult for the opponents. The lipper played effectively and confidently, which in the end could secure the title with a final score of 34:22.
