On Friday, August 16, 2024, a serious traffic accident occurred on Landesstraße 265 at around 6:30 p.m., which runs between Heimborn and Mörsbach. According to the police, he got onto the oncoming lane when driving a right curve due to a driving error. As a result, there was a dramatic frontal collision with an oncoming 28 -year -old driver. The impact was so violent that the 22 -year -old driver's car was thrown around several times and finally came to a standstill on the road.

In the result, firefighters from the Hachenburg community had to intervene in order to free the trapped 22 -year -old driver. This was flown to a hospital with serious injuries. Information about his condition is not yet available. Fortunately, his two occupants and the driver of the other car pulled only minor injuries and were cared for by the German Red Cross on site.
