Drug ride on e-scooter: Coesfeld drivers stopped by police!
A 20-year-old e-scooter driver from Coesfeld was stopped by the police on Monday, October 14th, around 5:05 p.m. During a traffic control, the officials noticed that the young man showed signs of drug use. A voluntary drug -based test resulted in a positive finding on cannabis and amphetamines. Thereupon a doctor took a blood sample while the police prohibited the driver and initiated a procedure.
It is important to emphasize that the same alcohol and narcotics are valid for driving an e-scooter as with other motor vehicles. In addition, e-scooter owners must make sure to attach a valid insurance license plate. These rules are crucial for safety in road traffic and are strictly monitored by the authorities.
