False alarm! No gunner in the district house - Coesfeld district breaks up

A supposed amocalar recently caused excitement in the district administration of Coesfeld. But it quickly turned out that luckily it was only a false alarm - no gunman threatened the district house.

The alarm, which was triggered at 10.45 a.m., forced the employees of Kreishaus I to evacuate the building. The police arrived after the emergency call and searched all rooms thoroughly. According to police spokesman Moritz Bredekamp, a likely technical problem was the cause of the alarm.

After about an hour, the employees were able to return to the building facilitated. Although it was a false alarm, the effectiveness of the emergency plans and the planned processes for such situations became clear. The crisis was successfully mastered without serious incidents, which was praised by Sven Borgert, the specialist service manager of the district administration's central service.
