As the new CEO of BMG, the music business of the company, the 34-year-old Thomas Coesfeld has now entered the Bertelsmann board.

This is not the only coes field that has taken on an outstanding position on the Bertelsmann board. Already at the end of last year, Thomas' brother, Carsten Coesfeld (37), was appointed to the management committee. There he is responsible for the area of investments and financial solutions. Both brothers were repeatedly regarded by industry insiders as promising talents and have now established their presence on the board of Bertelsmann.

The expansion of the board around Thomas Coesfeld comes at a time when the long -time CEO Thomas Rabe announced that his contract will run by the end of 2026. After his time at Bertelsmann, Rabe plans to face new challenges and leave the corporate environment.

The current Board of Management of Bertelsmann consists of five members, including CEO Rabe, the Coesfeld-Brüder, Rolf Hellermann (finance) and Immanuel Hermreck (personnel).
