In the city of Cuxhaven, a pleasant increase in population is recorded. According to the nationwide census, which was carried out on May 15, 2022, it can be seen that Cuxhaven in Lower Saxony is already in sixth place in cities with the highest population growth. This is a sign of the attractiveness that Cuxhaven gains and confirms the continuous efforts to increase the quality of life in the city and to promote a strong community.

The population of Cuxhaven rose from 48,636 in 2011 to 49,740. This corresponds to an increase of 2.3 percent or in absolute numbers an increase of 1,104 people. This growth testifies to the positive developments and measures taken in Cuxhaven in order to meet the needs of the population.

"We will continue to work on further developing Cuxhaven as liveable and future -oriented city. The increase in population encourages us to be on the right track," says Mayor Uwe Santjer confidently.

The positive development in Cuxhaven shows that the city is perceived as a livable and future -oriented community. The increase in population reflects that the continuous efforts to increase the quality of life, bear fruits and increasingly position Cuxhaven as an attractive place to live.
