Cuxhaven optimizes city life: defect detectors and idea card successful!
In Cuxhaven, the newly introduced defect detector makes headlines! Since the start six months ago, the citizens have reported over 598 defects. The leaders are the categories "General Messages" with 95, followed by "garbage shelf" (69) and "street damage" (68). This digital tool enables the residents to report defects quickly and easily online, while the city administration reacts more efficiently to the concerns. Using an interactive card, citizens can track the status of their reports at any time.
An important aspect of the system is forwarding to the responsible authorities, especially for external responsibilities, such as district roads. The city has already made the first adjustments and found that reports on parking violations often cannot be processed promptly. In addition to the defect detector, a new idea card was also introduced, on which the population can contribute to improving their city. These ideas are collected, evaluated and forwarded to the corresponding departments if feasible. The feedback on the initiative is consistently positive-a clear win-win situation for the city and its citizens!
