Cuxhaven ship model construction: Discover maritime masterpieces!
In Cuxhaven, the ship model construction days are at the door, and that promises a lot of maritime fascination without getting wet. The two days, which take place on September 14 and 15, 2024 in the "Wind strength 10" museum, are aimed at everyone who wants to experience the world of shipping and the model building up close. Organized by the talented members of the ship model building Club Cuxhaven, the event offers an exclusive opportunity to admire impressive ship models, some of which have been handcrafted for years.
After all, there are a variety of models to admire: From the tractor diver Otto Wulf 8 to the cargo ship Schwan to the crab cutter Nigehörn - each of these ships tells its own story, shaped by Cuxhaven's rich tradition in fishing. The club not only attracts the looks of the model building enthusiasts. A group of volunteers of the German Society for the Rescue of Shipwrecker (DGZRS) will also present their miniature sea rescue cruiser, which gives the event an additional nostalgic charm.
unique adventure offers for all age groups
The event program is particularly family -friendly. A creative hands -on program is waiting for the little visitors: you can even design coats from Resin or design motifs and labels. Touching and trying out is expressly allowed! On Saturday, September 14th, node makers will also be on site. These not only invite you to admire the traditional sailor nodes, but also provide instructions on how easier knots can be linked.
The Sunday, September 15th, also has exciting activities. In cooperation with the museum team, the children can make sailing boats made of cardboard and crabs out of mussels, which the ocean love promotes from an early age. The entire program is included in the admission price of the museum, which makes the event even more attractive.
Look forward to a very interesting weekend full of model exhibitions and creative activities in the Museum Wind strength 10, located in the Ohlroggestr. 1, 27472 Cuxhaven. Registrations are not required - just drop by and immerse yourself in the maritime world!
