The construction work require a full blocking of the L 3398 between the roundabout Gießener Str. / Dr. Heinrich-Winter-Str. and the roundabout Gerhard Hauptmann Str. / Am Erbachwiesenweg. The detour for traffic is set up via Ludwigsstraße, Lorscher Straße and Tiergartenstrasse. The walking and cycle path under the bridge remains accessible during the construction work.

The repair of the bridge is necessary because defects in the ceiling were found during the exam last year. Standing water caused damage to the walking caps, which must now be remedied. The construction work is related to the renovation of the walking and cycle path underpass, which was completed in 2023.
