Telekom is expanding mobile communications in Rastede with 5G location
In times of progressive digitization, reliable mobile phone supply for residents of Rastede is of crucial importance. Deutsche Telekom AG therefore drives mobile phone expansion in the region to ensure improved coverage and a higher range.
The latest step in this process was to expand a mobile phone location in Rastede by 5G technology. This measure not only improves mobile phone coverage in the city, but also increases the signal quality in buildings. In addition, the extended location of the supply along the A29 motorway and the Lower Saxony-West Bremen railway lines is used
Stefanie Halle, company spokeswoman for Deutsche Telekom, emphasized the importance of this expansion in view of the steadily increasing need for bandwidth. "The need for bandwidth is constantly increasing - around 30 percent per year. That is why we continue to pace in mobile phone expansion," says Halle.
Telekom currently operates 46 locations in the Ammerland district, whereby the budget cover is almost 100 percent. By 2025, the company plans to add another five locations and to carry out extensions with LTE or 5G at 19 existing radio masts.
In order to comply with this ambitious schedule, Telekom is dependent on cooperation with the municipalities and owners in order to obtain suitable areas for the mobile phone locations. People who are interested in renting areas for roof or mast locations can contact the German radio tower.
The German radio tower, a subsidiary of Deutsche Telekom, is significantly involved in the expansion and operation of the mobile phone locations. With over 36,000 locations in operation and around 1,500 new locations annually, Telekom ensures that the increasing demand for reliable mobile phone supply is covered.
interested residents of Rastede can find out about the availability of LTE and 5G at their place of residence on the Telekom website. The expansion of the mobile radio infrastructure not only contributes to better coverage, but also to strengthen digital networking and thus to the future viability of the region.
