Shock accident at Hunding: driver escapes and leaves seriously injured passenger!

A dramatic accident occurred on Sunday evening on the B33 near Hunding in the Deggendorf district! A 29-year-old driver lost control of his vehicle, hurled off the road and left his seriously injured and alcoholic passenger (24) in the wreck. The incident happened around 7:30 p.m. when the man was on the road at an excessive speed and accidentally an overtaking maneuver. Instead of taking care of the injured person, the driver fled from the scene of the accident - and this immediately triggered a massive use of the rescue workers.

over 120 emergency services, including the police, fire brigades and the mountain rescue service, searched for the fleeting driver. The dramatic search lasted until around 10 p.m. when emergency services with multicopters finally discovered it. The man had hidden on foot and, as it turned out, was also injured and alcoholic.
