In a dramatic traffic accident on October 20, 2024 in Hatterwüstting, a 66-year-old motorcyclist was seriously injured. The collision occurred at 12:20 p.m. when a 31-year-old driver from Delmenhorst overlooked the biker when crossing the Borchersweg, who was traveling from Streekermoor. While the motorcyclist suffered serious injuries and had to be flown to the hospital with a rescue helicopter, the driver was unharmed.

The Borchersweg was closed to the accident recording until around 1:30 p.m. The condition of the motorcycle was so badly damaged that it had to be towed. Slight sheet metal damage to the driver's car led to a total disclosure damage of around 5,000 euros.
