25 years oldies 2000: a feast of passion in Saarland!
On April 25, 2025, a double event was celebrated in the heart of Saarbrücken. The Oldies 2000 Rehlingen, a committed fan community of the 1. FC Saarbrücken, celebrated its 25th anniversary. The community, which was launched 97 years after the foundation of the 1. FC Saarbrücken, currently has 62 active members, including 36, who are active at 1. FC Saarbrücken itself. The joy of beautiful and fair games is in the foreground for President Frank Schröder, regardless of the league in which the club plays.
The Oldies 2000 Rehlingen have set themselves the goal of facilitating access to the home games of 1. FC Saarbrücken. To this end, the fan community organizes a bus, the "Oldie-Express", which enables fans, seniors and people with disabilities to easily get to the games. The bus serves all ten municipal parts of Rehlingen-Siersburg and Wadgassen. Free public transport is not sufficient for some members, which underlines the importance of this initiative.

In addition to the organization of trips to the games, the fan community is also involved in other areas. Regular internal activities, such as bowling evenings, shopping tours and brewery tours, promote cohesion and conviviality within the group. A big summer festival is already being planned and could possibly be a highlight of the festival year, especially if the 1. FC Saarbrücken rises to the second division.
Frank Schröder expressed optimistically over the next 25 years of the community and their role as part of the fan culture of the 1. FC Saarbrücken, which is also reflected in the region's numerous fan clubs. These include FCS Fan Club Ensheim 1974 e. V. and the fan Club Ommersheim 1973 e. V., to name just a few. The exhibition on football and its history
parallel to the anniversary celebration takes place another important event: the exhibition "Football under National Socialism", which can be seen from April 25 to 29, 2025 in the business club of the Ludwigsparkstadions. This exhibition, which was created in cooperation with the Blau-Black History working group, deals intensively with the history of the 1. FC Saarbrücken during the Nazi era. The vernissage took place on April 24, 2025, and the exhibition is accessible free of charge. In the opening times that vary from Friday to Tuesday, interested parties can learn more about the role of the association in the historical contexts.
