David Leitch, the former stuntman and director, plays a central role in this initiative. Around 100 stunt professionals, members of the Film Academy, will participate in the development of the official rules for this new category.

The current Oscars are already being awarded in 23 categories, but the introduction of a category for stunt design and the award for "Best Casting" will illustrate the growing interest in the various aspects of film production in the coming year.

The Stunt Prize is awarded for the first time at the 100th Academy Awards in 2028 and thus represents a milestone in the history of the Oscar ceremonies.
