Drama on the A7: Serious accident with tractor -trailer and several injuries!

On Tuesday, April 22nd, a dramatic accident occurred on the A7 between the Kirchheim motorway triangle and the Bad Hersfeld-West junction. A tractor -trailer overturned, which required immediate measures by the Kirchheim fire brigade. The emergency services stabilized the truck to safely carry out the rescue and overload. In addition, the expiring fuel was pumped out to prevent an environmental risk.

Shortly afterwards, on the A5 at the “Krachgarten” parking lot, a 39-year-old from Schmalkalden lost control of his car on a rainwet road. He collided with another vehicle that was driven by a 58-year-old from the Hochtaunuskreis. This overturned in the collision and was seriously injured to the hospital with a rescue helicopter. The 39-year-old suffered minor injuries and also had to go to the hospital. The property damage amounts to around 95,000 euros. The parking lot remains closed during the accident.
