A 65-year-old motorcyclist was seriously injured on Saturday afternoon on Ahorn motorway after he had strayed from the road for reasons that have not yet been clarified. It was initially not available, which is why a rescue helicopter was used. After stabilizing his condition, he was taken to the hospital. The property damage to its BMW is around 1,000 euros.

In the meantime, the Tauberbischofsheim transport service set up a control point on Landesstraße 506 on Sunday to combat motorcycle offenses. 103 motorcycles and four cars were checked, with the operating license expired in five cases. In addition, various administrative offenses were found, including inadmissible vehicle parts and speed violations. On Friday there was also a rear-end collision on Autobahn 81 when a 33-year-old driver rose to an unoccupied BMW. It was slightly injured and the total damage amounts to around 90,000 euros. Public is asked for information on handbag robbery in Bad Mergentheim and an attempted break -in in Creglingen.
