Alcohol frenzy leads to dangerous accident on the B10 near Göppingen

A spectacular accident on the B10 turned the night into chaos! Shortly after midnight, a 64-year-old headed with his Mercedes SUV towards Göppingen when he lost control of his vehicle. The car got to the right, tore open the oil pan and slid several meters across the protective planks. But that was not enough for the driver: he continued his dangerous journey, rammed a traffic sign and then raced backwards directly into the middle protective planks!

Fortunately, the driver was not injured, but alcohol control quickly showed that he was not sober. The man had to go to a clinic with difficulties on his feet where blood was taken away. The damage to his totally damaged Mercedes is estimated at around 15,000 euros, and there is also around 6,000 euros for the traffic signs and protection planks. Due to this alcohol -related danger, the driver is now responsible for the consequences of his impulsive behavior. The B10 remained closed until 3.45 a.m., while towing services and cleaning teams made the route safe again.
