Traffic accident in Weinheim: Mercedes bounces into western tangent with BMW!

Westtangente, 69469 Weinheim, Deutschland - in Weinheim there was a violent traffic accident at the west tangent/multring intersection on Tuesday evening at around 11 p.m. A Mercedes B-Class collided with a 3 Series BMW, while one of the cars was on the multring when turning. The force of the impact activated several airbags in the Mercedes, whereupon the E-Call emergency call system triggered an alarm at the Rhein-Neckar control center. Fortunately, both drivers could be found responsibly, but one person had to be taken to the hospital for examination.

The Weinheim fire brigade secured the scene of the accident, ensured fire protection and removed operating materials. Both vehicle batteries have been disconnected to minimize the risk of fire, while a specialist company took over the final elimination of liquids. Due to the mission, the west tangent in the direction of B3 was completely closed for half an hour, the traffic was diverted via Mierendorffstraße and Multring. The fire brigade ended after about an hour and a half, while the police started the investigation into the course of the accident.
