Offenburg, Deutschland - A 57-year-old German man was temporarily arrested on Friday afternoon (February 7th) in a regional train between Baden-Baden and Offenburg after sexually harassing a 20-year-old woman. The perpetrator sat next to the young woman and touched her arms and legs without being asked, despite her loud rejection. When the injured party wanted to leave the seating group, the man blocked her way. Only the intervention of other passengers who informed the police brought the harassed to give in so that the woman could escape.

The aggressive man insulted the woman and other travelers and showed threatening behavior. When he was arrested at the Offenburg train station by officials from the state and federal police, a breath alcohol test resulted in an extremely high value of three per thousand. The 57-year-old is now faced with advertisements for sexual harassment, coercion and insult. The investigation was taken over by the Federal Police Inspectorate Investigator Offenburg.
