Christmas time in the Black Forest – a special experience is coming! The Christmas market in the Ravenna Gorge, which will once again be considered one of the most beautiful in Germany in 2025, opens its doors on the four Advent weekends from November 28th to December 21st. Under the impressive 40 meter high viaduct of the Höllentalbahn, visitors can expect a festive atmosphere, which is further enhanced by the steep mountains and the romantic lighting of the viaduct. How Mercury reports, the market is a popular attraction for locals and tourists.

But what exactly can guests expect? Around 40 stands will be set up and offer a colorful range of regional delicacies, such as Black Forest ham, mulled wine and punch, as well as handicraft products from local craftsmen. The organizers focus on sustainability: most products are produced regionally and in an environmentally friendly manner. A special highlight is the supporting program, which offers festive music and exciting activities for children.

Ticket sales and arrival

Ticket prices are affordable but vary depending on the time. Admission for adults costs 6.50 euros until 4 p.m. and 8.50 euros thereafter. Admission is free for children and young people up to 15 years of age, while a shuttle ticket costs 3.00 euros. Visitors You should hurry: tickets are limited and only available in advance. From October 14, 2025, tickets can be booked online via the Hochschwarzwald website. There is a huge rush - last year all the tickets were sold out quickly!

However, getting to the Christmas market is a little more complicated as parking options are limited. Shuttle buses from Titisee and Hinterzarten are available to guests, although early ticket reservations are advisable here too.

Opening hours

The Christmas market has the following opening times on the Advent weekends:

• Freitags: 15:00 – 21:00 Uhr
• Samstags: 14:00 – 21:00 Uhr
• Sonntags: 14:00 – 20:00 Uhr

A special forest day with discounted entry is offered for locals on December 11th, which makes the visit even more attractive. Surrounded by the wonderful backdrop of the Ravenna Gorge and the festively illuminated stalls, this Christmas market is a real must for anyone who wants to experience the run-up to Christmas in the Black Forest.
