Farewell after 105 years: Apple tree planted at the Wasseralfinger Castle

On April 22, 2025, the members of the fruit and horticultural association (OGV) Wasseralfingen planted an apple tree on the Wasseralfinger Castle in a solemn ceremony. This campaign marks a special moment because the club, which was active for over 105 years, was dissolved. Tobias Müller from the district office was also present at the solemn planting to help the members of the OGV. The volunteers Alfred Maier, Christian Beder, Frank Roder and Ingrid Lutz were involved directly in the process. First, however, it turned out that the planting hole was too deep, which is why earth was added to ensure that the tree's finishing point remains visible.

After the work was successfully completed, the tree was cast. Frank Roder then cut him up to enable him to start an optimal start. The use of the volunteers illustrates the strong sense of community and the connection to nature in Wasseralfingen.
