Customs control in Weil: Vehicle transports have to pay 3,000 euros!
A dramatic turn at the customs office at the Rhine: A Polish company, specializing in vehicle transport, recently had to pay a due sum of 3,000 euros to secure the onward journey of its vehicles to Poland. During a check, it was discovered that the company was in payment deficit with over 11,000 euros - an amount resulting from tariffs and import sales tax. Despite a previously agreed payment payment, the managing director had not fulfilled his obligations.
In order to save the Situation, the managing director instructed his driver to pay the 3,000 euros in cash. After comparing this claim, the transport could finally be continued. Such measures are crucial for ensuring tax justice and the performance of the state, emphasizes the main customs office in Lörrach, which is active with more than 140 employees beyond Baden and the South Palatinate.
