A colorful mix of art, cuisine and culture is offered in the picturesque town center of Kenzing on the last weekend in September. The Breisgau autumn takes place on September 27th and 28th, 2025 and attracts numerous visitors every year. With around 45 exhibitors from the region, including artisans from Freiburg, Offenburg and the Black Forest, the event promises a feast for all the senses.
It starts on Saturday at 12 p.m. when the gates to the craft market open. Here you can discover autumnal decorations, handicrafts and creative gift ideas. The culinary offerings are also impressive: numerous food trucks and local restaurants ensure your physical well-being.
Cultural highlights and health days
A very special highlight are the health days in the town hall foyer, where...German Red Crossand the Culture and Social Working Group offer valuable information on health and prevention. Visitors can, among other things, find out about rollator settings, the emergency box and heart massage and even complete defibrillator training. The health days take place on Saturday and Sunday from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m.
The Upper Rhine fool's show attracts visitors with fascinating guided tours for Carnival, which also take place on Saturday and Sunday from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. On Sunday in particular, there will also be an open church program on the topic “For This” from 2 p.m., part of the Intercultural Week 2025.
Entertainment for young and old
The musical program ensures a good atmosphere: On Saturday, the Herbolzheim accordion club as well as the city band and the Hecklingen men's choir entertain the listeners. On Sunday the duo Ive & T. Bo. Gawer rocking sounds into the city. There will also be musical performances at the new residents' reception on Saturday from 4:30 p.m. - a nice opportunity for new Kenzingers to be welcomed.
