Eventful International Museum Day in the Eicher Museum Forstern

Forstern, Deutschland - On May 18, 2025, the International Museum Day was celebrated, an occasion that draws attention to the diversity and the importance of museums. Several museums took part in this special day, including the Eicher Museum in Forstern in the Erding district. The Eicher Museum offered numerous attractions last Sunday that spoke both young and old. The trips on supporters that were offered for children were particularly popular. A highlight of the event was two Indian Eicher tractors who were able to marvel at visitors.

The Eicher Museum shows a variety of products from forester, especially Eicher tractors, plows and agricultural attachments. The Eicher Museum is open on weekends from May to October. Visitors can visit the exhibition on Saturday from 12 p.m. to 6 p.m. and on Sunday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. The museum thus contributes to the lively cultural mediation in the region.

But the Eicher Museum is not the only one that could draw attention to itself that day. Other open-air museums, such as the Wolfegg farmhouse museum, also attracted numerous visitors. It opened its doors with a new attraction, the Beck Beck from Taldorf, which illustrated the life of an Upper Swabian family of farmers around 1900. The focus here is on accessibility and inclusion, which is why the museum offers ramps, tactile and hearing stations. It is considered the first inclusive open-air museum in Baden-Württemberg and is open on Tuesday to Sunday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
