New top official: Matthias Völler heads the Erlangen-Land police inspection

Uttenreuth, Deutschland - The Erlangen-Land police inspection has a new manager: since April 1, 2025, police chief commissioner Matthias Völler has been leading the office in Uttenreuth. The change comes after a transition period in which Sven Deters from the Bavarian riot police were running the business. Völler takes over the position after the long -time director, Matthias Link, went to Altdorf in September 2024.

The 42-year-old returns to a familiar place after working as a representative of Matthias Link from November 2022 to March 2024. Police President Adolf Blöchl is pleased with the appointment and describes Völler as an experienced police officer who leads with heart and mind. Matthias Link also has praise for his successor: "The office is definitely in good hands!" The Erlangen-Land police inspection covers an area of around 200 square kilometers with around 58,000 inhabitants, including the city of Baiersdorf and the surrounding communities.
