The garden show in “Tal With a goal of 400,000 visitors and a duration of 143 days, the event is a real summer highlight. The Black Forest Messenger reports that next weekend the 200,000th. Visitors are expected, which will give the organizers' plans a huge boost.

Estimates even show that the show could attract up to 500,000 guests in the busiest months of July and August. There are currently an average of 3,400 visitors per opening day, which is higher than the 3,000 originally calculated. On a particularly busy day, up to 7,000 people were there. This visitor interest is also supported by the favorable weather, which has favored the events so far.

A colorful event program

The garden show not only attracts guests from the region, but also delights those who travel up to 70 kilometers, including visitors from the Stuttgart suburbs, Karlsruhe and Ortenau. Region in view emphasizes that there is something for every taste. A wide-ranging program with weekly series of events ensures entertainment: On Fridays there is the “Regio Series – The Region Rocks” with over 40 bands, while on Wednesdays various authors present their books.

The weekend is also rounded off with relaxed “sundowner” events and monthly summer night cinemas. In terms of cuisine, guests will experience the AOK cuisine, which incorporates regional star hotels, as well as tips on garden design from SWR garden expert Volker Kugel. The combination of music, literature and cuisine enchants visitors and makes coming back particularly attractive.

Despite the success, there are challenges, such as the revised transport concept, which had to be adjusted due to long waiting times for buses. Newly established bus connections and support from volunteer traffic controllers should quickly remedy this situation. According to the feedback, the ratings of the garden show have continuously improved and are now 3.4 out of 5 stars. Statista has analyzed the number of visitors to past garden shows and shows that the popularity of these events has remained consistently high over the years.

To round off the first-class experience, there are 1,100 volunteers who contribute to the success of the show with their commitment. The garden show also organizes a photo competition in which the visitors' best pictures are awarded.
