Excavator accident in Göppingen: Machine tilts when unloading and damages tree!

In a dramatic incident in Göppingen, a rental excavator tipped out in the afternoon at around 2:30 p.m. and caused excitement. The 52-year-old machine operator tried to unload the approximately ten-ton excavator from a low loader when the heavy machine faltered and fell on the right side with the cab. The excavator shovel crashed into a tree on the side of the road and caused considerable damage.

The driver was not injured, only a slight shock remained. The Göppingen police were quickly on site to accept the incident. In order to restore the excavator using a crane, the road had to be closed briefly. The operational measures lasted until around 8 p.m. While the amount of the damage to the tractor is still unclear, the damage to the tree is estimated at around 500 euros.
