Customs raid in Sinsheim: Illegal employment uncovered!
Since the early hours of the morning, numerous officials from the main customs office Karlsruhe have carried out extensive searches in the Sinsheim and Stuttgart area on behalf of the Heidelberg public prosecutor's office. Four private apartments, three business seats and one tax advisor are affected. A 30-year-old managing director of a personnel service provider is in the sights of a person who is accused of having illegally employed foreigners who do not have a German residence permit.
The Heidelberg public prosecutor's office has initiated an investigation that includes allegations such as preliminary abstention and embezzlement of work wages as well as aid for the illegal stay. Alina Holm, spokeswoman for the main customs office, explains: "These people were also not properly registered for social security." Numerous evidence was ensured during the searches, including business documents, data carriers and mobile phones, which are now evaluated.
